Empty Nesters

Sappy mom post ahead: Y’all. I’ve been sorta MIA on jewelry making both physically and mentally because today we dropped off our only child at college. Our life was always about him and I’ve come to realize we are very protective of our little chickadee. He’s so excited to be dipping his toe into independence and we all high-fived and cheered but once we left him and it sunk in that he’s started the process of the flying the nest, I got terribly melancholy. At one moment the idea crushes me and the next I feel pride and excitement. I’m all up #inmyfeelings so if you’ve experienced this empty nest bizarro world please share, because at this moment there’s not enough 🍷 to numb all these new feelings☹️
